This download is a beta driver providing Microsoft® Windows Vista™ support for your Creative Live!® Cam Voice. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.
Take note of the following:
- THIS IS AN UNSUPPORTED BETA DRIVER. There is no technical support for this driver. We recommend that only experienced users install this driver. Do not install this driver for critical tasks.
- If you choose to use third party software with your Live! Cam's microphone, it is recognized as Microphone (USB Audio Device).

- Microsoft DirectX® (9.0 or later)
- Creative Live! Cam Voice
Notes:
- To install this driver
- Download the LCVO_PCDRVBETA_US_1_03_02.EXE file into your local hard disk.
- Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.
- After installing the driver, you must select 2 channel audio format in Windows Vista before using your Live! Cam.
- Click Start -> Control Panel -> Sound.
Alternatively, right-click the Speaker icon on the taskbar. - Select Recording Devices -> Microphone (USB Audio Device).
Note: If there are other USB audio devices already installed on your computer, your Live! Cam may be displayed as Microphone (2-USB Audio Device) or Microphone (3-USB Audio Device), depending on the number of USB devices installed.
To check which USB audio device is your Live! Cam
Under Microphone Properties, click the General tab and click the Properties button. The Live! Cam Voice (Mic) Properties window appears and your Live! Cam is displayed as Live! Cam Voice (Mic).
- In the Microphone Properties window that appears, click the Advanced tab.
Under Default Format, select 2 channel, 16-bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality).
