This download contains an improved version of the firmware found on your Creative Xmod. It enables monitoring of line-in recordings. For more information, read the rest of this web release note.

Added Features or Enhancements:

• Enables you to hear what you are recording from the Xmod Line-in jack.

Requirements:

• Microsoft® Windows Vista™, Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP (Service pack 2 or later), Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 or later
• 256 MB RAM
• USB 1.1 port
• Creative Xmod

Notes:

• To install this firmware
  1. Download the file into your local hard disk.
  2. Close all application and Windows Explorer windows that are currently running on your computer.
  3. Connect your device to your computer.
  4. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.
     WARNING: Do not disconnect your device while the firmware is being updated.
     For Windows XP users
     When the Hardware Installation window appears, click the Continue Anyway button.
  5. Restart your computer when prompted.

• Mac OS® X version 10.4
• USB port
• Creative Xmod

Notes:

• To install this firmware
  1. Download the XMOD_MACFW_US_1_08_070516.dmg file into your local hard disk.
  2. Close all applications that are currently running.
  3. Connect your device to your computer.
  4. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.
     If you see an error message, click the OK button to install the firmware again.
• After upgrading the firmware, disconnect and reconnect your Xmod.
