This download contains an improved version of the firmware found on your Creative Xmod™ Wireless. For more information, read the rest of this web release note.

Added Features or Enhancements:

• Improves the quality of the X-Fi™ Crystalizer™ enhancement
• Improves the quality of the X-Fi CMSS®-3D enhancement
• Improves the wireless connection with X-Fi Wireless Receivers

Requirements:

• Microsoft® Windows Vista™ 64-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Media Center Edition 
• USB port
• Creative Xmod Wireless

Notes:

• Only install the firmware for one Xmod Wireless at a time.
• DO NOT attempt to use Xmod Wireless while the firmware update is in progress.
• To install the firmware
  1. Download the XMOD_PCFW_LB_1_8_070625.exe file onto your local hard disk.
  2. Close all application and Windows Explorer windows that are currently running on your computer.
  3. Connect your Xmod Wireless to your computer. 
  4. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.
     For Windows XP users
     When the Hardware Installation window appears, click the Continue Anyway button.
  5. When prompted, disconnect your Xmod Wireless, then reconnect it to your computer to complete the installation process.
  6. Restart your computer when prompted.
