How to charge the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless headset
Keywords/Key Phrases: Tactic3D, Tactic3D Rage, charge, charging, low battery, full charge

  • Applicable To: Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless, Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless V2.0
  • This article provides simple instructions on how to charge and verify the battery status.

To begin charging the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless headset, connect the micro-USB cable into the USB slot of the headset. (see illustration)

Connect the other end of the USB cable (Type A) into a powered USB port.

The Power LED will start to blink when the headset is charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the Power LED will stop blinking and stays lit. (Note: It can take up to 8 hours to fully charge up the battery. The battery life can last up to 16 hours.)

Tip: To maximize your usage, you can leave the headset to charge overnight.

The Sound Blaster Tactic3D Control Panel will also display the headset's battery status at the lower right corner. However, the headset has to be paired with the connecting USB transmitter. (Note: Scout Mode is available in the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Control Panel for Rage V2.0.)

Battery Status

The left image shows a charging icon, the center image indicates low battery level and the right image shows a full battery level icon.

If the headset is charged via an AC power outlet, a general advice is to use a USB power adapter separately. Please make sure that the output of the USB power adapter is 5V DC to the headset. The amperage is not critical, however, amperage such as 1A will have a shorter charging time as compared to a 500mA USB power adapter.
