Creative Webcams in Windows 8.1 and Skype

  • This article explains that majority of current Creative Webcams' Windows 8 drivers have been tested to work well with Windows 8.1 operating system.

Based on internal testing, the Windows 8.0 driver used with the majority of our webcams seems to be working in Windows 8.1. If you are having issues with applications such as Skype, you may want to check with the application vendor’s support.

To verify that your webcam is working, we would suggest that you install the latest version of Creative Live! Central and verify you are able to get video. If you get an error message or there is no video, you can contact us via E-Mail support.

If you are planning to upgrade to Windows 8.1, we suggest you fully uninstall the camera and its applications before upgrading, and then reinstall once you have upgraded.
