Keywords/keyphrases: static noise, noisy microphone, voice quality, microphone quality, sounds bad, mic

Summary:

  • Applicable To: Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB, Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless, Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB V2.0, Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless V2.0
  • This article tells us how to reduce static noises and poor voice quality on the boom microphone of the Tactic3D Rage headsets.

To connect the boom microphone to the Tactic3D Rage headsets, ensure that the depressed area of the jack is aligned to the bottom of the headset's jack.

If the microphone is not connected properly, static noises may be heard from the microphone input.

If the voice input sounds distant and noisy, ensure that the microphone hole is adjusted to face the user.

The microphone hole has a microphone sign on it.

Do not connect a 3.5mm jack audio cable to the audio input of the headset as that will disable the headset's microphone.

Ensure that the microphone mute button is not enabled on the headset for the microphone to pick up voices.
