Should the Live Central 3 fail to install properly in Windows, follow the steps below in this article:

  1. Connect the webcam directly to the computer's USB port. Avoid connecting the webcam to a USB hub. This is to isolate whether the USB hub is faulty or may be running out of power to sustain the connection. If you are using a desktop computer, connect the webcam to its rear USB port. If you are using a laptop, make sure that the computer is getting its power source from the power outlet.


  2. Before installation, temporarily disable all firewalls or anti-virus software and close all unnecessary programs running in the background.


  3. Since the webcams are UVC (Universal Video Class) compliant, it should be detected automatically in Windows Device Manager when it is connected to the computer. Go to Windows Device Manager and check that the webcam is detected under Imaging Devices.


  4. If the webcam is detected in Windows Device Manager, download and install the latest driver for the webcam, including Live! Central 3 whenever available, from the following website: support.creative.com. After the installation, verify in the Windows Device Manager that the webcam has been detected and that the drivers are installed properly. Upon confirmation, launch the Live! Central 3 application.


  5. Try to connect the webcam to another computer to isolate the issue further.
