How to address buzzing noise in Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage
Keywords / Key Phrases: humming noise, hums, buzz, buzzing sound, Aux-In

  • Applicable To: Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB
  • Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB may exhibit a humming or buzzing noise when the headset is connected simultaneously via USB and Aux-In jack.
  • The different grounding with USB and Aux In jacks can create interference when connecting simultaneously with a headset, resulting in a humming buzz.

To remove the humming buzz, and for optimal audio performance, it is recommended that you connect your Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage headset via USB cable to a PC or Mac. With a whole range of digital audio effects, such as SB Pro Studio, Equalizer, Voice FX, SB Prism, you will experience superior audio streaming compared to an analog connection.

If a 3.5mm connector is not connected to the headset and buzzing is still heard, connect the headset to an individual USB port instead of an USB hub.

The buzzing noise may also be caused by another USB device. Remove other USB devices to determine if they are causing the buzzing noise.
