This download contains the video converter utility, SMV Transcoder, that can be used to convert videos from the WMV format to the SMV format which can be played back on the ZEN Style M300 and ZEN Style M100 players.

• Before you install this firmware:
  1. Back up the contents on the device.
  2. Ensure that your device's battery is fully charged.

• You can install this firmware by downloading it directly to your device, or by downloading it to your computer first.

To install this firmware by downloading it directly from the Web to your device, do the following:

1. Download the ZenTouch2GPS_1_00_38to2_00_23_fwupd.apk file to your device.
   The file will be stored in your device's internal memory.
2. After the download is completed, tap the ZenTouch2GPS_1_00_38to2_00_23_fwupd.apk file in the popup box.
3. Tap Install in the popup box.
   The firmware update application is installed.
4. Tap Open followed by Install.
   After the firmware is installed, the Firmware Update dialog box is closed. After a while, the Firmware upgrade Alert dialog box appears.
5. Tap Reboot.
   The screen will go black for a while during this time. Do not power down your device. Please wait for it to restart.
   Important: Do not power down your ZEN Touch 2 (GPS) device during the firmware upgrading process.
   Note: After the upgrading process, your device will restart.

To install this firmware by downloading it to your computer first, do the following:

1. Download the ZenTouch2GPS_1_00_38to2_00_23_fwupd.apk file to your computer.
2. Connect the device to your computer using the USB cable. If the USB connected dialog box appears on the tablet, tap Mount. Otherwise, go to the Notification panel and tap USB connected > Mount.
3. Copy the ZenTouch2GPS_1_00_38to2_00_23_fwupd.apk file to your device (either in the internal memory or an inserted memory card).
4. On your computer, safely remove your device in Windows. Next, go to the Notification panel on your device and tap Turn off USB storage > Turn Off. Then, disconnect the device from the USB port.
5. With the use of Explorer, navigate to the location where you copied the file to, and tap it.
6. Tap Install in the popup box.
   The firmware update application is installed.
7. Tap Open followed by Install.
   After the firmware is installed, the Firmware Update dialog box is closed. After a while, the Firmware upgrade Alert dialog box appears.
8. Tap Reboot.
   The screen will go black for a while during this time. Do not power down your device. Please wait for it to restart.
