This is a driver update for your NOMAD® MuVo® player. For complete functionality, confirm that you have the requirements listed below before installing this driver.

Added Features or Enhancements:

• Supports the use of Windows® Formatter (FAT 16/32 settings) for your NOMAD MuVo.

Notes:

This driver update only works with NOMAD MuVo players. Do not install this update for a NOMAD MuVo TX or NOMAD MuVo NX player. This driver update is necessary to install the NOMAD MuVo firmware upgrade version 1.20.03 or later.

• To install this driver, do the following:

1. Locate and double-click the .EXE driver update file.

2. Follow the instructions to install the driver update.

This NOMAD® MuVo® NX driver update is a prerequisite for upgrading to NOMAD MuVo NX Firmware Upgrade version 1.30.09. Unlike the typical scenario where only Windows® 98 Second Edition users have to install drivers for their NOMAD MuVo NX players to function properly, this driver update is meant for all supported Windows operating systems.

Added Features or Enhancements:

• Enables you to format your MuVo NX player in Windows Explorer using the FAT16 or FAT32 file system. For this feature to work, install Creative NOMAD MuVo NX Firmware Upgrade version 1.30.09 after installing this driver update.

This is a firmware upgrade for your NOMAD® MuVo® NX player. For complete functionality, confirm that you meet the requirements listed below before installing this update.

Important: You must install NOMAD MuVo NX Driver version 1.01.02 before installing this firmware upgrade, regardless of the Windows® operating system you are using. Please note that having to install drivers for your NOMAD MuVo NX player in Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows Millennium (Me) is unique to this firmware upgrade. Typically, only Windows 98 Second Edition (SE) users have to install drivers for their NOMAD MuVo NX players to function properly.

Added Features or Enhancements:

• Supports the playback of WMA tracks with DRM (Digital Rights Management) content protection. These tracks can be played after being transferred from Creative MediaSource or Windows Media Player to your NOMAD MuVo NX player. Important: To transfer WMA tracks with DRM content protection to your player, you must have NOMAD MuVo Pack (version 1.02.06 or later) for Creative MediaSource installed.
• Enables you to format your MuVo NX player in Windows Explorer using the FAT16 or FAT32 file system.
• Adds Chinese Simplified and Korean language support.
• Supports the display of Russian (Cyrillic) ID3 tag information for MP3 and WMA files in your player. NOMAD MuVo Pack (version 1.02.06 or later) for Creative MediaSource must be installed for full and correct functionality.

Fixes:

• Resolves the issue where voice recordings are not saved when your player's battery level is low.

Notes:

• This firmware update only works with NOMAD MuVo NX players. Do not install this upgrade to a NOMAD MuVo or NOMAD MuVo TX player.

• To install this firmware upgrade, do the following:
1. Transfer all files from your player to your computer before installing the firmware upgrade.
2. Connect your player to your computer while pressing and holding the Play button. Keep the Play button depressed for 10 seconds after the player is connected to your computer. After releasing the Play button, a dialog box may appear, prompting you to install a Player Recovery Device driver. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the device driver installation.
3. Once the Player Recovery Device driver installation is complete, double-click the firmware upgrade .EXE file.
4. When the NOMAD MuVo NX Firmware Download dialog box appears, click the Start button.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the upgrade.
6. Disconnect your player.

This is a firmware update for all NOMAD MuVo® players. You can also install this update to upgrade your NOMAD MuVo's firmware to play back Audible audio content. For complete functionality, confirm that you meet the requirements listed below before installing this update.

New Features or Enhancements

• Enables you to format your player in Windows Explorer using the FAT16 or FAT32 file system.

• Improves track organization and playback with two-tier directory structure.
• Enables audio feedback when skipping forward or backward.

Note

• To install this firmware upgrade, do the following:

1. Transfer all files from your player to your computer before installing the firmware upgrade.
2. Connect your player to your computer while pressing and holding the Play button. Keep pressing the Play button for 10 seconds after connecting the player to your computer.
3. Release the Play button. A dialog box appears, prompting you to install a Player Recovery Device driver.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the device driver installation.
5. Once the Player Recovery Device driver installation is complete, double-click the firmware upgrade .EXE file.
6. When the NOMAD MuVo Audible Firmware Download dialog box appears, click the Start button.
7. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the upgrade.
8. Disconnect your player.

This firmware update provides improvements to your Sound Blaster Wireless Music Remote Control and Receiver. Be sure to download and install Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Music Software Upgrade version 1.20.02 as well, to enjoy full functionality.

New Features or Enhancements

• Increases the number of artists and albums available for selection on the remote control.
• Enables the direct selection of receivers and adjustment of remote frequency settings using the remote control.
• Adds Sleep mode, which reduces power consumption. The Receiver unit goes into Sleep mode after the Power button on the remote control is pressed.
• Reduces the period of silence between tracks in multiple track playback.

• Increases the responsiveness of the receiver and remote control.

• If you already have Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Music Firmware Upgrade version 1.20.02 installed in your device, you can also download this firmware update to increase the responsiveness of the receiver and remote control.

This firmware update allows you to use the Creative FM Wired Remote with your Creative NOMAD® MuVo®² (1.5 GB) player. The Creative FM Wired Remote allows you to access the controls of your player without having to take the player out of your bag or pocket. In addition, the Creative FM Wired Remote adds an FM Tuner with up to 32 preset FM channels, and a built-in microphone for voice recordings.

This firmware update also extends the language display capability of your Creative NOMAD MuVo² (1.5 GB) player.

Firmware Enhancements:

• Adds support for Creative FM Wired Remote functions (Voice Recording, FM Tuner, and FM Recording). These functions can be accessed from the root menu of your player or via the Mode button on the Creative FM Wired Remote.
• Shifts the Folder (Root) and Playlist options to the root menu for improved accessibility.
• Adds Chinese Simplified and Korean language support.

• FM and voice recordings are stored in the VOICE folder on your player. The VOICE folder can be accessed from your computer when the player is connected to your computer's USB port.

• This firmware update only works with NOMAD MuVo² (1.5 GB) players. Do not install this update if you own a NOMAD MuVo² player in a different storage capacity.
