This software contains the latest versions of the Mac OS X application and driver for the E-MU 0202, 0404, Tracker Pre and 0204 USB audio interfaces.

This software update contains applications and drivers for OSX Snow Leopard and Lion.

This release includes a product Uninstaller. Both applications are installed in /Applications/Creative Professional/E-MU USB Audio.

Before you download:
This package contains a full installer. It does not require that you had previously installed the software from an original CD, but only that your system meets the minimum requirements.

Note that this release does not support OSX Leopard or earlier. Do not apply this update if you are not running OSX Snow Leopard or OSX Lion.

Before you download:
This Update Package is now a Full Installer (application, driver and firmware). It does not require that you had previously installed the software from an original Xboard Installer CD, but only that your system meets the minimum requirements.

Before you install:

• If you have experienced a fault in any audio application, you should reboot Windows before applying this update
• Exit all applications before installing these updates
• This installer will automatically uninstall any older versions of software before installing the new version.

Installation Instruction:
To install the Application, Driver and Firmware:

1. Connect your Xboard and turn it on
2. Run the self-extracting installer
3. Follow the instructions shown in the Installer
4. When the Firmware Updater dialog box appears, select the
   device you want to update, and click Update.
   Note: DO NOT unplug the Xboard during the firmware update
5. Once calibration finishes, click Exit
6. When the Found New Hardware Wizard appears, click Cancel.

Note: A small number of Xboard 25/49 may encounter difficulties such as blank screen or incorrect knob response after installing the firmware. If you encounter this problem, you should re-initialize the Xboard's UART calibration.
To Reset the UART Calibration:

1. Connect your Xboard and turn it on
2. Press the Home, Edit, Patch Select, and MIDI Channel buttons at once.
   The LEDs on the Xboard will flash, and the Display will say "Good" repeatedly. Moving a continuous controller or the data slider clears this message.
   
   If the display says "bAd", you should try this process again until a "Good" message appears. If, after several attempts, it still says "bAd", you may have a hardware problem, and should contact E-MU Technical Support at:

  1. Back up the contents on the device.
  2. Ensure that your device's battery is fully charged.

• You can install this firmware by downloading it directly to your device, or by downloading it to your computer first.

To install this firmware by downloading it directly from the Web to your device, do the following:

1. Download the ZenTouch2GPS_1_00_38to2_00_23_fwupd.apk file to your device.
   The file will be stored in your device's internal memory.
2. After the download is completed, tap the ZenTouch2GPS_1_00_38to2_00_23_fwupd.apk file in the popup box.
3. Tap Install in the popup box.
   The firmware update application is installed.
4. Tap Open followed by Install.
   After the firmware is installed, the Firmware Update dialog box is closed. After a while, the Firmware upgrade Alert dialog box appears.
5. Tap Reboot.
   The screen will go black for a while during this time. Do not power down your device. Please wait for it to restart.
   Important: Do not power down your ZEN Touch 2 (GPS) device during the firmware upgrading process.
   Note: After the upgrading process, your device will restart.

To install this firmware by downloading it to your computer first, do the following:

1. Download the ZenTouch2GPS_1_00_38to2_00_23_fwupd.apk file to your computer.
2. Connect the device to your computer using the USB cable. If the USB connected dialog box appears on the tablet, tap Mount. Otherwise, go to the Notification panel and tap USB connected > Mount.
3. Copy the ZenTouch2GPS_1_00_38to2_00_23_fwupd.apk file to your device (either in the internal memory or an inserted memory card).
4. On your computer, safely remove your device in Windows. Next, go to the Notification panel on your device and tap Turn off USB storage > Turn Off. Then, disconnect the device from the USB port.
5. With the use of Explorer, navigate to the location where you copied the file to, and tap it.
6. Tap Install in the popup box.
   The firmware update application is installed.
7. Tap Open followed by Install.
   After the firmware is installed, the Firmware Update dialog box is closed. After a while, the Firmware upgrade Alert dialog box appears.
