Notes:

To install this firmware, do the following:

1. Download the firmware file to your computer’s local hard disk.
2. Close all application windows that are currently running on your computer.
3. Connect your player to your computer.
4. Back-up your player's content before proceeding with this firmware update.
5. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Requirements:

• ZEN Touch 2 (GPS) with firmware version 2.00.23 or later.
  For users with version 1.00.38, please upgrade to 2.00.23 first. Please use "ZenTouch2GPS_1_00_38to2_00_23_fwupd.apk".
• Microsoft® Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista®, or Windows XP Service Pack 3 32-bit edition. 

Notes:

• After installing this firmware, you will not be able to downgrade back to the previous version.
• If you are currently using a live wallpaper, it will be reset after installing this firmware. Items (shortcuts) and widgets on the Home panel will also be reset. You will need to re-select the wallpaper and add the items and widgets back to the Home panel. 
• You can check the firmware version by tapping Settings > About. The firmware version is displayed under Build Number.
• Before you install this firmware:
  1. Backup your files.
  2. Delete current widgets on the Home panel so that upgraded widgets can take effect.
  3. Ensure that your device's battery level is at 25% or higher.
  4. Use Task Manager to close all applications.
• You can install this firmware by downloading it directly to your device, or by downloading to your computer first.

To install the firmware by downloading it directly from the Web to your device:

1. Download the firmware file to your device. The file will be stored in your device's internal memory.
2. After download is complete, tap the firmware file on the popup box.
3. Tap Install on the popup box.
4. After installation is complete, tap Open > Install.
5. After the firmware is installed, the Firmware Update dialog box will close. After a while, the Firmware Upgrade Alert dialog box will appear.
6. Tap Reboot. The screen will go black for a while during this time. Do not power down your device. Please wait for it to restart.

Important: Do not power down your ZEN Touch 2 player during the firmware upgrading process.
Note: After the upgrading process, your device will restart.

To install this firmware by downloading first to your computer:

1. Download the firmware file to your computer.
2. Connect the device to your computer using a USB cable. If the USB connected dialog box appears, tap Turn on USB storage. Otherwise, go to the Notification panel and tap USB connected > Turn on USB storage.
3. Copy the firmware file to your device (either in its internal memory or memory card).
4. On your computer, safely remove your device in Windows. Next, on your device's "USB storage in use" screen, tap Turn off USB storage to disconnect the device from the USB port. If the "USB storage in use" screen is not shown, go to the Notification panel and tap USB Connected > Turn off USB storage.
5. With the use of Explorer, navigate to the location where you copied the firmware file, and tap it.
6. Tap Install in the popup box.
7. After installation is complete, tap Open > Install.
8. After the firmware is installed, the Firmware Update dialog box will close. After a while, the Firmware Upgrade Alert dialog box will appear.
9. Tap Reboot. The screen will go black for a while during this time. Do not power down your device. Please wait for it to restart.

Important: Do not power down your ZEN Touch 2 player during the firmware upgrading process.
Note: After the upgrading process, your device will restart.
