This download contains an improved version of the firmware originally found on your Creative MuVo® Slim. It improves FM radio support. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Enhancements:

• Improves FM radio support

Fixes:

• Reduces the occurrence of random popping sounds when you turn your player on or off
• Ensures that the Skip Folder option selects folders correctly
• Resolves the issue where audio tracks may not resume playback after you restart your player. This may occur when you switch to FM mode while playing audio tracks, and then restart your player.

This download contains VidCap, an application you can use with your Sound Blaster® Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor to capture and convert videos for editing. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

You can use VidCap as an alternative to the Ulead® software originally bundled with Sound Blaster Audigy® 2 ZS Video Editor to capture video. You can then use any video editing software to edit and create DVDs. VidCap features hardware encoding to accelerate DV-to-MPEG file conversion. VidCap is a video capturing application that enables you to:

• capture video from video cameras, VCRs, televisions, or other external video devices to your computer.
• convert video files to other supported formats (including hardware-accelerated DV-to-MPEG).
• export video files from video applications back to the external video devices.

This download also contains an improved version of the video driver found on the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor installation CD.

Added feature:

• Supports hardware MPEG2 rendering

Fixes for video driver:

• Ensures proper functionality when using selected video applications with devices connected to your Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor.
• Allows correct video output from a device with PAL M format.
• Resolves the issue of intermittent blank frames or fragmented playback of an exported DV file when viewing it on some video cameras.

• Video files captured with VidCap can be imported into video applications.
• All source and destination devices must be connected to your Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor when using with VidCap.

This upgrade improves the functionality of your Creative MuVo® Micro N200 player. For complete functionality, make sure that you meet the requirements listed below before installing this upgrade.

Notes:

• This firmware upgrade only works with Creative MuVo Micro N200 players. Do not install this upgrade to other players.
• You will lose all content in your player when you install the firmware. Back up any audio or data files in your player to your computer before upgrading the firmware.
• To install this firmware upgrade, do the following:
1. Download the MuVoN200_PCFW_LF_1_20_04.exe file into your local hard disk.
2. Connect your player to your computer.
3. Double-click the firmware upgrade file.
4. When prompted to set your player in Recovery mode, disconnect your player from your computer.
5. Press and hold the Play button while connecting your player to your computer's USB port.
6. Continue to hold the Play button for about 10 seconds after connecting your player to your computer.
7. Release the Play button when the Find New Hardware dialog box appears on the computer screen.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen to install recovery drivers for your player.
9. Double-click the firmware upgrade file and follow the instructions on the screen.

• Windows Media® Player 9
• Available USB port (version 1.1 or higher)
• Creative Zen Micro, Zen Sleek, Zen Touch or Zen Xtra with PlaysForSure firmware version 2.xx.xx

  1. Scroll Select System.
  2. Scroll Select Information.
     The firmware version number is displayed.
• Subscription services and playlist downloads are not supported
• You can only use Windows Media Player 9 to transfer audio files.
• To install this driver, do the following:
• 1. Download the file into your local hard disk.
  2. Double-click the driver file and follow the instructions on the screen.
  3. Connect the player to your computer.

This update resolves the issue of your computer not responding when you close Creative MediaSource™ DVD-Audio Player. You must already have Creative MediaSource DVD-Audio Player on your computer to perform this update successfully.

• Creative Media Explorer for Zen Vision (version 5.00.18)
  Creative Media Explorer makes it easy to manage music tracks, pictures, videos, organizer data (contacts/calendar items/tasks) and data files in your player. This update contains support for managing Album Art in your player.
• Sync Manager (version 5.20.09)
  Sync Manager synchronizes music tracks, pictures and videos in your computer with your player. It also updates your player with Calendar, Tasks and Contacts information from Microsoft® Outlook® or Microsoft Outlook Express.
• CD Ripping Wizard (version 5.00.20)
  Use CD Ripping Wizard to quickly rip music tracks from your audio CDs and transfer them to your player.
• Creative Video Converter (version 5.10.08)
  Converts video files on your computer to a format best suited for playback in your player.
• Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure® devices (version 1.40.16)
  The plugin enables you to organize, transfer and manage music tracks, pictures and videos in your player, using Creative MediaSource™ Player/Organizer.

Notes

• To check your player's firmware version number:

1. Press and hold the Power button to turn on your player (if necessary).
2. Select Information in the main menu.
   The firmware version number is displayed under the Version heading.

• To check your Creative MediaSource version number:

1. Launch Creative MediaSource.
2. Click Help on the menu bar.
3. Select the About Creative MediaSource option.
   The version number is displayed in the dialog box that appears.

This download contains an improved version of the Creative WebCam Center application found on your camera installation CD. It adds enhancements for Yahoo!® Messenger video broadcast. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

You MUST have DirectX 9.0b or higher installed before you install Creative WebCam Center 1.71.02.

This download contains an improved version of the drivers found on the Creative WebCam Live!® Motion installation CD. It improves video image quality. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.
