This update for Creative Audigy® 4 Pro, provides more functionality for your Remote Control, and fixes operational issues in the Entertainment Center software.

Enhancements

• Improves the Remote Control functions
• Enables the FWD/REW button to update the timer display.
• Enables the SLOW function to have four settings: 75%, 50%, 25% and Normal.
• Controls selected Microsoft® Windows® application.

Note

• To install the update, double-click the file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Fixes:

• Improves player functionality when the Random and Next buttons are pressed.
• Resets the Custom EQ settings when resetting your player's settings.
• Improves the display order of the Touch Pad sensitivity settings.
• Improves the continuous playback of WMA and MP3 tracks.

Note:

• To install this firmware update, do the following:
1. Download the ZenTouch_PCFW_L4_1_01_03.exe file into your local hard disk.
2. Connect the player to your computer.
3. Double-click the firmware upgrade file and follow the instructions on the screen.

This firmware update is for Creative Zen Portable Media Center users.

Important: You will lose all content in your player when you install the new firmware. Back up any audio, video, image or data files in your player with Microsoft® Windows® Media® Player 10.

After installing the new firmware, use Windows Media Player 10 to restore content to your player.

Added Features or Enhancements:

• Supports Audible audio Type 4.
• Activates your Zen Xtra player in order to listen to and manage your Audible audio.
• Enables you to navigate sections within Audible audio by using the “Goto Section” feature from the “Now Playing” screen.
• Enables you to return to the last playback position of Audible programs after playing other audio tracks.

(For full Audible audio support, you will also need to install Creative Jukebox Driver Update version 1.26.02.)

Notes:

• Before installing the firmware update, be sure that you have:
• Charged the player's battery
• Connected the power cable
• Turned off your player
• Disconnected your player's USB cable from your computer
• To install the firmware update, you must first remove the firmware in your player using the Reload OS function:

1. Press and hold the Play button, while inserting a pin or paper clip into the Reset button on your player. The Reset button is near the Volume buttons.
   The player starts up in Rescue mode.
2. Select the Reload OS option.
   The current firmware will be erased from the player.
3. Connect your player to your computer with the USB cable.
4. Double-click the firmware file, and follow the instructions on the screen.
5. When prompted, click the Upgrade option.
6. When the upgrade is complete, your player restarts.
   A "rebuilding the library" message appears on your player's LCD. This message disappears when your player has finished rebuilding the music library.
   The firmware is now updated.

This patch upgrades your Creative Smart Recorder application from version 2.10.52 or 2.10.11, to version 2.10.56. It is only applicable to Creative Sound Blaster PCMCIA Audigy 2 ZS Notebook and Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro audio cards in Microsoft® Windows® XP (Service Pack 2) or Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4).

Fix

• Ensures that only supported audio file types are displayed.

• Creative Smart Recorder version 2.10.52 or 2.10.11 installed.
• Creative Sound Blaster PCMCIA Audigy 2 ZS Notebook or Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro audio card installed.

Notes

• To check the version number of your Creative Smart Recorder application, do the following:

1. Click Start -> Programs/All Programs -> Creative -> Sound Blaster Audigy 2 -> Creative Smart Recorder.
2. Click the How do I button and click About Smart Recorder.
3. Check that the version number of your Creative Smart Recorder application is 2.10.52 or 2.10.11.
4. Close the Creative Smart Recorder window.

• To install the patch, double-click the file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Fix

• Ensures that the Creative Diagnostics window launches only in High Performance/Advanced Feature mode.

Requirements

• Microsoft Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4).
• Creative Diagnostics version 4.00.09 installed.
• Creative Sound Blaster PCMCIA Audigy 2 ZS Notebook audio card installed.

Notes

• To check the version number of your Creative Diagnostics application, do the following:
1. Click Start -> Programs/All Programs -> Creative -> Creative System Information.
2. When the Creative System Information window appears, click the Creative Products tab.
3. In the left pane, click Creative Software.
4. In the left pane, click Creative Diagnostics.
5. Check that the version number of your Creative Diagnostics application is 4.00.09.
6. Close the Creative System Information window.
• To install the patch upgrade, double-click the upgrade file and follow the instructions on the screen.

This firmware update for Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium Edition (Me), and Windows 98 Second Edition (SE) operating systems, improves your player's functionality.

Enhancements

• Adds Recovery Mode to the player.
  This mode enables you to recover your player's firmware should it stop functioning normally.
• Improves the Menu scroller sensitivity.

Fixes

• Enables you to resume play back in a long audio track that has been paused.
• Enables you to play tracks from where they were stopped, when you switch from another mode to Music mode.

• To install this update, do the following:
1. Download the RHOMBA_PCFW_LB_1_07_1.exe file into your local hard disk.
2. Double-click the RHOMBA_PCFW_LB_1_07_1.exe file.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
• To enter Recovery Mode, do the following:
1. Turn off your player.
2. Slide the Hold switch in the direction indicated by an arrow.
3. Press and hold both the Volume "+" and "-" buttons.
4. While holding the buttons, press and hold the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds. Recovery mode appears.

This update is only applicable to MuVo® Media Explorer (version 1.00.13 or earlier) users. It delivers improvements to existing features and adds new functionality to MuVo Media Explorer.

• To check your MuVo Media Explorer version number:
1. Launch Windows Explorer.
2. Click the My Computer icon.
3. Click the MuVo C100 Media Explorer icon.
4. Click Help -> About MuVo C100 Media Explorer. The dialog box shows the version number.
5. Click the OK button.

• This update only works with Creative MuVo C100 players. Do not install this update if you own a MuVo N100 or MuVo N200 player.
