• Resolves playback issues that occur when Repeat or Random mode is selected in Windows 2000 with Hyper-Threading systems.

Requirements:

• Creative PlayCenter version 3.02.67 installed
• Creative Sound Blaster Audigy series audio card installed

Notes:

• To check the version number of your Creative PlayCenter, do the following:
1. Launch Creative PlayCenter.
2. Click File -> About PlayCenter.
3. Check that your Creative PlayCenter application's version number is 3.02.67.
4. Click the OK button.
• If your Creative PlayCenter application is version 3.02.67, you may proceed to download and install the Creative PlayCenter patch.
  If your Creative PlayCenter application is an earlier version, you must download and install the PLC20031009.exe file before installing this Creative PlayCenter patch.
  To locate and install the PLC20031009.exe file, do the following:
1. Go to http://www.creative.com.
2. Click the Support link and select your region.
3. Click the DRIVERS SEARCH or Download Drivers link.
4. Click the Search by file name box and type PLC20031009.exe.
5. Click the Search button.
6. Click the Download Now or Download button.
• To install the patch, double-click the patch file and follow the instructions on the screen.

This firmware update allows you to use the Creative FM Wired Remote with your Creative NOMAD® MuVo®² (512 MB) player. The Creative FM Wired Remote lets you access the controls of your player without having to take the player out of your bag or pocket. In addition, the Creative FM Wired Remote adds an FM Tuner with up to 32 preset FM channels, and a built-in microphone for voice recordings.

Firmware Enhancements:

• Adds support for Creative FM Wired Remote functions (Voice Recording, FM Tuner, and FM Recording). These functions can be accessed from the root menu of your player or via the Mode button on the Creative FM Wired Remote.
• Shifts the Folder (Root) and Playlist options to the root menu for improved accessibility.

Fixes:

• Resolves the issue where SmartScan is activated when it is not required.

Notes:

• To install the firmware update, double-click the firmware update file and follow the instructions on the screen. Do not transfer files or perform other player tasks before, and during, the firmware update.

• To enable FM support for the Japan region (76-90 MHz):
1. In the root menu of your player, browse to the Settings option and press MENU.
2. Browse to the Language option and press MENU.
3. Scroll through the available languages and select Japanese (in Kanji characters).

• FM and voice recordings are stored in the VOICE folder on your player. The VOICE folder can be accessed from your computer when the player is connected to your computer's USB port.

• This firmware update only works with NOMAD MuVo² (512 MB) players. Do not install this update if you own a NOMAD MuVo² player of a different storage capacity.

This update adds full DTS Neo:6 functionality to the Sound Blaster® Audigy™ 2 ZS series of audio products when used in conjunction with Creative MediaSource version 2.02.06 or later (see ‘Notes’ below).

New Features or Enhancements:

• Enables users with 5.1 or 6.1 speaker systems to derive five or six full-band channels of audio from two-channel matrix-encoded sources. The result is a richer and more natural aural experience, a luxury that owners of discrete multi-channel systems have increasingly come to expect.

1. Launch Creative MediaSource.
2. Click Help on the menu bar.
3. Click the About Creative MediaSource option.
   The dialog box shows the version number.
4. Click the OK button.

This update adds a DTS Neo:6 or Creative MultiSpeaker Surround (CMSS) status display to Creative MediaSource Player (see 'Note' below).

Fixes:

• Shortens the loading time of Creative EAX Console.
• Resolves the issue where the EAX button fails to represent the EAX status correctly.

This update improves the general functionality of Creative THX Setup Console with the Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy™ 2 ZS series of audio products.

Fixes:

• Calibrated settings can now be saved when changing speaker modes.

• To enable Disc Maker, do the following:
1. Launch Creative PlayCenter.
2. Click the Settings button.
3. Click the PlayCenter tab.
4. Click the Disc Maker check box to select it.
5. Click the OK button.
• To install this web update, double-click the web update file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Added Features:

• Updates Creative Surround Mixer with the latest drivers.

Fixes:

• Resolves the issue where Creative Surround Mixer is unable to launch after the EAX® Advanced HD™ or EAX 4.0 Advanced HD driver update is installed.

Notes:

• To check if you have installed the LiveDrvUni-Pack driver update file, do the following:
1. Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel.
2. Locate and open the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder (replace c:\ with the drive letter your operating system is installed on).
3. Right-click the ctaud2K.sys file and click Properties.
4. Click the Version tab.
5. Check if the version number is 5.12.1.252.
6. Click the OK button.
7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the ha10kx2k.sys file and check if the version number is 5.12.1.250.

If the ctaud2k.sys and ha10kx2k.sys files match the version numbers above, you have installed the LiveDrvUni-Pack driver update file and may proceed to install the Creative PlayCenter download.

• To install the download, double-click the download file and follow the instructions on the screen.

It includes:

• Creative EAX Console update (Version 2.01.10)

Fix

• Corrects the application issue when connecting or disconnecting your USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX from your computer, or turning off the USB audio device, while both your USB audio device and computer are turned on

Fix

• Corrects the issue where the USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX driver is unable to unload when the USB device is turned off while SoundFont Bank Manager is running on your computer
