Instructions to upgrade the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB Wireless Transmitter: 

To install this firmware

1. Download the file onto your local hard disk.
2. Ensure that your Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Transmitter is connected to your computer.
3. Ensure that the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset is removed from your computer.
4. Uncompress the downloaded file to a folder in your local hard disk.
5. Double-click <SBTR_PCFW_US_TX_1_59_140721.exe> from the folder which stores the uncompressed files.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
7. After the installation of the firmware is completed, unplug and plug in your transmitter and start pairing with the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless headset again.

WARNING: Please ensure your device is connected during installation. Do not unplug your device until full installation completes. Do not restart your PC during the firmware upgrade. Do not use a USB hub for installation.

Instructions to upgrade the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset:

To install this firmware

1. Plug in the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset directly to your computer. Do not connect it to a USB hub.
2. Power on the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset.
3. Ensure that the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB Wireless Transmitter is removed from your computer.
4. Double-click <SBTR_PCFW_US_RX_1_58_121101.exe> from the folder which stores the uncompressed files.
5. Click Upgrade. 
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
7. Click Close to end the firmware upgrade.
8. After installing the firmware, re-pair your headset and the USB wireless transmitter. 

Manual Pairing:

1. Press and hold the Microphone Mute button on the headset for 3 seconds. The connect LED will begin to flash rapidly.
2. Press and hold the Connect button on the USB wireless transmitter for 3 seconds. The Connect LED on the transmitter will begin to flash rapidly.
3. When the headset and the transmitter are paired, the Connect LED on both devices will stop flashing and stabilize.

Instructions to upgrade the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB Wireless Transmitter: 

To install this firmware

1. Download the file onto your local hard disk.
2. Ensure that your Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Transmitter is connected to your computer.
3. Ensure that the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset is removed from your computer.
4. Double-click the downloaded file to uncompress it.
5. Double-click <SBTR_MCFW_WL_US_TX_1_59_140721> inside the uncompressed DMG file.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
7. After the installation of the firmware is completed, unplug and plug in your transmitter and start pairing with the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless headset again.

WARNING: Please ensure your device is connected during installation. Do not unplug your device until full installation completes. Do not restart your Mac during the firmware upgrade. Do not use a USB hub for installation.

Instructions to upgrade the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset:

To install this firmware

1. Plug in the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset directly to your computer. Do not connect it to a USB hub.
2. Power on the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset.
3. Ensure that the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB Wireless Transmitter is removed from your computer.
4. Double-click <SBTR_MCFW_WL_US_RX_1_58_A_121101> inside the uncompressed DMG file.  
5. To complete the installation, follow the instructions on the screen.
6. After installing the firmware, re-pair your headset and the USB wireless transmitter. 

Manual Pairing:

This download is an application for use with Creative audio products. It restores 3D audio and EAX® effects for certain DirectSound®3D games in Microsoft® Windows® 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista®. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Fixes:

• Enables the DirectSound3D game audio to be processed by your Sound Blaster audio device to deliver EAX effects, 3D audio spatialization, sample rate conversion and hardware audio mixing. Without this, most DirectSound3D games will be reduced to stereo output without any EAX effects.
• Improves 3D audio processing for host-based Sound Blaster audio devices.
