Smart Recorder 2.40.12

Smart Recorder manages and performs all your recording tasks easily. With Smart Recorder you can:

• detect silences between audio tracks in analog content, and automatically record the content in separate MP3 files.
• remove hisses and pops in your recorded material using the Audio Cleanup feature.
• schedule recordings to start automatically.
• set the optimum recording level with the automatic source level analysis feature.

Notes

• To check your audio device driver version:

1. Click Start -> Control Panel.
2. Select Hardware and Sound.
3. Select Device Manager.
   If the User Account Control dialog box appears, click the Continue button. 
4. Double-click the Sound, video and game controllers entry and then double-click your audio device's entry.
5. In the Drivers tabbed page, click the Driver Details button.
6. In the Driver files list, select the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\sbusb.sys entry.
   The file version is indicated next to File version.

• To install this application

1. Download the SMARTREC_PCAPP_LB_2_40_12.exe file into your local hard disk.
2. Close all applications and Windows Explorer windows that are currently running on your computer.

This software contains the latest versions of the Mac OS X application, driver, and firmware for the E-MU 0202, 0404 USB, Tracker Pre audio interfaces.

• S/PDIF input is no longer muted when the system is set to internal clock source and the S/PDIF input clock is the same as the system clock (0404-USB).
• Improved S/PDIF sync when receiving noisy or high-jitter signals (0404-USB).
• The 176.4 kHz and 192 kHz samples rates are no longer stored on power-off. Now, the system defaults to 44.1 kHz
• Support for Mac OSX Leopard.

• The driver now supports the standard Macintosh master volume control.
• When operating on an 0404 USB, the driver now supports AC-3 and DTS playback through S/PDIF.
• The driver is now more robust when the sample rate changes during audio playback or recording.
• Cubase now works properly at higher sample rates when two streams are running effects.

This download contains the video driver and VidCap, an application you can use with your Sound Blaster® Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor to capture and convert videos for editing. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

You can use VidCap as an alternative to the Ulead® software originally bundled with Sound Blaster Audigy® 2 ZS Video Editor to capture video. You can then use any video editing software to edit and create DVDs. VidCap features hardware encoding to accelerate DV-to-MPEG file conversion. VidCap is a video capturing application that enables you to:

• capture video from video cameras, VCRs, televisions, or other external video devices to your computer.
• convert video files to other supported formats (including hardware-accelerated DV-to-MPEG).
• export video files from video applications back to the external video devices.

• Before installing this update for your Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor, make sure that no other applications are running or active in your computer.
• While installing this update, do not disconnect Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor.

  4. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.
     For Windows XP users
     When the Hardware Installation window appears, click the Continue Anyway button.
  5. When prompted, disconnect your Xmod Wireless, then reconnect it to your computer to complete the installation process.
  6. Restart your computer when prompted.
