This update contains an added feature to improve your decoder's functionality.

Feature

• Detects and displays the DVD-Audio, Dolby™ Digital or DTS™ logo on your computer's desktop during play back of the respective decoding formats.

This standalone update provides improvements for your Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy™ 2 NX on Microsoft Windows® XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4) operating systems.

This update includes:

• Improves playback of media files while EAX Console is running

Notes:

• If you have the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX Installation CD, be sure to complete the installation of Creative applications before installing this update.
• Before you use this update for your Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX, make sure that no other applications are running or active in your computer.
• When installing this update, do not disconnect Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX.

Fixes

• Enables you to select an Effects preset in EAX Console without stopping the application.
• Enables you to start the EAX Console application in Microsoft® Windows® Millennium Edition (Me) and Windows 98 Second Edition (SE).

1. Click Start -> Programs/All Programs -> Creative -> Creative MediaSource -> Creative MediaSource Player.
2. Click the Help button and click About Creative MediaSource.

This update for Creative Audigy® 4 Pro, provides more functionality for your Remote Control, and fixes operational issues in the Entertainment Center software.

This patch upgrades your Creative Smart Recorder application from version 2.10.52 or 2.10.11, to version 2.10.56. It is only applicable to Creative Sound Blaster PCMCIA Audigy 2 ZS Notebook and Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro audio cards in Microsoft® Windows® XP (Service Pack 2) or Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4).

Fix

• Ensures that only supported audio file types are displayed.

2. Click the How do I button and click About Smart Recorder.
3. Check that the version number of your Creative Smart Recorder application is 2.10.52 or 2.10.11.
4. Close the Creative Smart Recorder window.

• To install the patch, double-click the file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Fix

• Ensures that the Creative Diagnostics window launches only in High Performance/Advanced Feature mode.

Requirements

• Creative Diagnostics version 4.00.09 installed.
• Creative Sound Blaster PCMCIA Audigy 2 ZS Notebook audio card installed.

• To check the version number of your Creative Diagnostics application, do the following:
1. Click Start -> Programs/All Programs -> Creative -> Creative System Information.
2. When the Creative System Information window appears, click the Creative Products tab.
3. In the left pane, click Creative Software.
4. In the left pane, click Creative Diagnostics.
5. Check that the version number of your Creative Diagnostics application is 4.00.09.
6. Close the Creative System Information window.
• To install the patch upgrade, double-click the upgrade file and follow the instructions on the screen.

This is the latest driver release for Creative Sound Blaster® Wireless Music users running Windows® XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me (Millennium) or Windows 98 SE (Second Edition) on their computers.

Notes:

• This driver has been certified by Microsoft®'s Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) and has been tested on Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Music only.

This is a driver update for your Dell audio device.

Fixes

• Resolves the Microsoft blue screen issue when Kontakt™ Player is launched.
• Resolves several issues reported by Windows® Error Reporting in Microsoft® Windows XP .

• To check the version number of your audio drivers, do the following:
1. Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop and click Properties.
   Alternatively, launch Windows Explorer, right-click the My Computer icon, and then click Properties.
2. Click the Hardware tab.
3. Click the Device Manager button.
4. Double-click Sound, video and game controllers.
5. Right-click your sound card and click Properties.
6. Click the Drivers tab.
7. Check that the version number of your audio drivers is 5.12.1.203.
8. Click the OK button.
• If your audio drivers are not version 5.12.1.203, you must install the SBL5DL_DRVPACK_LB.exe or SBL5DL_PCPatch_LB.exe file. Do the following:

3. Under Download, select your region and click the Go button.
