This firmware update provides improvements to your Sound Blaster Wireless Music Remote Control and Receiver. Be sure to download and install Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Music Software Upgrade version 1.20.02 as well, to enjoy full functionality.

New Features or Enhancements

• Increases the number of artists and albums available for selection on the remote control.
• Enables the direct selection of receivers and adjustment of remote frequency settings using the remote control.
• Adds Sleep mode, which reduces power consumption. The Receiver unit goes into Sleep mode after the Power button on the remote control is pressed.
• Reduces the period of silence between tracks in multiple track playback.

Fixes

• Increases the responsiveness of the receiver and remote control.

Note

• If you already have Creative Sound Blaster Wireless Music Firmware Upgrade version 1.20.02 installed in your device, you can also download this firmware update to increase the responsiveness of the receiver and remote control.

Fixes:

• Removes distortion (popping sound) during DVD playback on selected motherboards.
• Ensures WinDVD continues to respond when Video Hardware Acceleration is enabled.
• Enables Bit Accurate Recording through SPDIF-IN.
• Enables signal detection when optical signals are sent to the audio card before the computer is turned on.
• Allows Creative applications to be launched after audio is disabled and then enabled in Device Manager.
• Resolves the system stall and system restart issues that are associated with selected game titles.

Fixes:

• Resolves playback issues that occur when Repeat or Random mode is selected in Windows 2000 with Hyper-Threading systems.
• Resolves the playback issue that occurs when your computer returns from Standby mode.

• Creative PlayCenter version 3.02.67 installed
• Creative Sound Blaster Audigy series audio card installed

Notes:

• To check the version number of your Creative PlayCenter, do the following:
1. Launch Creative PlayCenter.
2. Click File -> About PlayCenter.
3. Check that your Creative PlayCenter application's version number is 3.02.67.
4. Click the OK button.
• If your Creative PlayCenter application is version 3.02.67, you may proceed to download and install the Creative PlayCenter patch.
  If your Creative PlayCenter application is an earlier version, you must download and install the PLC20031009.exe file before installing this Creative PlayCenter patch.
  To locate and install the PLC20031009.exe file, do the following:
1. Go to http://www.creative.com.
2. Click the Support link and select your region.
3. Click the DRIVERS SEARCH or Download Drivers link.
4. Click the Search by file name box and type PLC20031009.exe.
5. Click the Search button.
6. Click the Download Now or Download button.
• To install the patch, double-click the patch file and follow the instructions on the screen.

This update adds full DTS Neo:6 functionality to the Sound Blaster® Audigy™ 2 ZS series of audio products when used in conjunction with Creative MediaSource version 2.02.06 or later (see ‘Notes’ below).

New Features or Enhancements:

• Enables users with 5.1 or 6.1 speaker systems to derive five or six full-band channels of audio from two-channel matrix-encoded sources. The result is a richer and more natural aural experience, a luxury that owners of discrete multi-channel systems have increasingly come to expect.

• drivers from the original Installation and Applications CD; or

• Creative MediaSource version 2.02.06 or later (see ‘Notes’ below)

Notes:

• To ensure full DTS Neo:6 functionality, download and install the Creative MediaSource 2 Update (version 2.02.06) for Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS.
• To check your Creative MediaSource version number:
1. Launch Creative MediaSource.
2. Click Help on the menu bar.
3. Click the About Creative MediaSource option.
   The dialog box shows the version number.
4. Click the OK button.

This update adds a DTS Neo:6 or Creative MultiSpeaker Surround (CMSS) status display to Creative MediaSource Player (see 'Note' below).

Fixes:

• Shortens the loading time of Creative EAX Console.
• Resolves the issue where the EAX button fails to represent the EAX status correctly.

• Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy™ 2 ZS or Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro audio card installed with:

Note:

• To ensure that the DTS Neo:6 or CMSS status display appears correctly, download and install the Creative MediaSource 2 Update (version 2.02.06) for Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS.

This update improves the general functionality of Creative THX Setup Console with the Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy™ 2 ZS series of audio products.

Fixes:

• Calibrated settings can now be saved when changing speaker modes.

1. Launch Creative PlayCenter.
2. Click File -> About PlayCenter.
3. Check that your Creative PlayCenter application's version number is 3.02.52 or later.
4. Click the OK button.
• To enable Disc Maker, do the following:
1. Launch Creative PlayCenter.
2. Click the Settings button.
3. Click the PlayCenter tab.
4. Click the Disc Maker check box to select it.
5. Click the OK button.
• To install this web update, double-click the web update file and follow the instructions on the screen.

Added Features:

• Updates Creative Surround Mixer with the latest drivers.

Fixes:

• Resolves the issue where Creative Surround Mixer is unable to launch after the EAX® Advanced HD™ or EAX 4.0 Advanced HD driver update is installed.
