This download contains an improved version of the firmware found on your Creative ZEN® MX player. It fixes issues in Imported Music, such as repeated playback and incorrect title bar language. For more details, read the rest of this Web release note.

Fixes:

• Fixes issues Imported Music menu, such as repeated playback and incorrect title bar language.
• Ensures correct display of contact details in Organizer.
• Improves the player’s stability when using SD memory cards.

 Requirements: 

• Microsoft® Windows Vista®, Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later
• USB port
• Creative ZEN MX player

Note:

• Before you upgrade the firmware, back up your player's contents.
• To install this firmware, do the following:
  1. Download the ZENMX_PCFW_L22_1_04_01.exe file to your local hard disk.
  2. Close all application windows that are currently running on your computer.
  3. Connect your player to your computer.
  4. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions on the screen.
• After installing this firmware, it is recommended that you clean up your player's memory. Note that this procedure will not delete the player's contents.
  1. Turn off your player.
  2. Press and hold the Play/Pause button.
  3. When the Creative logo appears, press and hold the Back button until the Recovery Mode screen appears.
  4. Select Clean Up.
  5. When the clean up is complete, select Reboot.
