Overview
This package is meant for Sound Blaster® Vibra128, Sound Blaster 16 PCI, Sound Blaster PCI 128, Sound Blaster 4.1 Digital, and Sound Blaster Ensoniq AudioPCI users running Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP, who experienced distortion problem when playing a wave or MP3 file in 4 speaker mode. For PRODIKEYS™ users who are running on Windows 98SE, this Web Update will enable them to record and playback under IMPRESS mode within the PRODIKEYS application. The package will contain the following:

Sound Blaster PCI (WDM) Drivers V 5.12.01.5017

Requirements
An existing Sound Blaster Vibra128, Sound Blaster 16 PCI, Sound Blaster PCI 128, Sound Blaster Ensoniq AudioPCI, or Sound Blaster PCI4.1 Digital software package must be installed before installing this update.

Notes

• Creative Configurator works with VXD drivers only. The Creative Configurator program link in the Start Menu will be removed after users install the Web Update.
• For users who are running Windows 98SE, this Web Update will upgrade VXD drivers to WDM drivers.
• This release works with the CT4816, CT4751, CT5808, CT4740 and the CT4815.
• This package is not applicable to model CT4730 2-channel audio card. Installation WILL NOT proceed.

This is a new stand-alone driver release of Sound Blaster PCI128 for users running on Windows 2000, Windows ME and Windows XP only.

This release is for the Sound Blaster PCI 128 (Model CT5808), and includes the following files:

This is only a partial update made available to address specific problems encountered such as cutting and pasting audio clips, sound distortions, and problems playing files encoded with the MP3 codec.

This is a new driver release for users running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT4, Windows 2000 and Windows Millennium Edition. This update supports the Sound Blaster PCI128 (Model No. CT4750 & CT4751).

Windows 95 users will need to install either DirectX7 or DirectX8 for Gameport joystick support.

Note: This release requires the following files to be downloaded for complete installation:

• Windows 9x drivers p128w9x.lib (2,538,762 bytes)
• Windows 2000 drivers p128w2k.lib (2,476,013 btyes)
• Windows NT drivers p128wnt.lib (2,399,215 bytes)

Notes for Windows 95 users:

Please perform the following steps to install Gameport Joystick drivers in Windows 95 :-

Option a
1. Install DirectX 7a
2. Reboot the computer
3. Proceed to install the Sound Blaster PCI128 Driver Web Release

Option b
1. Install DirectX 8.0
2. Reboot the computer
3. Install DCOM v1.3 (as directed by the DirectX 8 installation)
4. Reboot the computer
5. Proceed to install the Sound Blaster PCI128 Driver Web Release
